CULTURAL QA 062024 9A

Q1 Which major Indian cultures will die soon?

Q Dina thanti style:Something I see dwindling though not dying!

Wearing bindi/sindoor(vermilion) in forehead Eating with stitched banyan
leaf - environment friendly Joint family system Eating family meal together
/ old days in moonlit terrace when mom used to share food with each of us
showing hand to get it Turmeric use for skin and oil bath for hair care
Sitting on floor and eating which is very scientific Villuppaattu/ ancient
bommalaattam/Katputhli/puppet show I see these are dwindled much Backyard
with well for water Using Pot/copper ware for drinking water Women having
long hair plait with Jasmine/other flowers

KR How could one say Indian culture which means Muslim Christian Parsi
also; means Hindu ancient culture. Because Indian Muslim women wear black
dots on the forehead; they wear thali in Christian weddings; Pallu of saree
is a must in north India Hindu and Muslim to cover the head. CULTURE
appears to have disappeared; but gives the wild card entry. In 50s 60s I
saw my mother wearing Puffy / Puffy one shoulder blouse; then gone; later
in 80 90s same re appeared and gone. Now on TV I see all ladies wearing
only that. Where did the culture go? As kids, many of us went to temple;
then receded; in 2000 I saw quite a lot again and decreased; now they are
so enthusiastic. Culture if introduced as fashion people will adopt.

Q3 Why do I feel so down and not happy anymore? I also feel
really tired and unmotivated. Is that normal for someone to feel that way?

KR Mentally retarding that is all

Q4 What are the most middle class things ever?

Q all 22

KR Are there any middle class now? Your peon owns a car provided by
Father-in-law. Are you or him in any class? And all those 22 have you not
seen in the upper middle and rich class? Have you seen what refrigerators
of Amitabh contained? The only curse of the middle class is -ALL
KNOWING-GOSSIPS. MAKING FUN OF OTHERS ATTRIBUTING THEIR LAPSES AS THAT OF
THE OTHERS.

*Q5 What is the Smashing Ghar Wapsi News: Two Muslim women
become Hindu?*

Kr It is Ghar wapas aya ga and no surprises for the prodigal daughters.

Q2 What do surgeons do after performing a long, intense surgery?

A2 Dr.Abinash Dutta, Former Consultant Neurosurgeon at Sakra
World Hospital (2019–2024)Feb 2

Ok. This is my domain.

The longest surgery I have been a part of is 14 hours. I took a 15 minute
break in between for lunch.

Now, when the surgery is going on, and we are concentrating, and it's
bleeding now and then, we are trying our best to avoid the vital structures
while dissecting out the tumour or a vessel, there's fluctuation in blood
pressure, Adrenaline takes over. You don't realise how fatigued your body
is. But when the major part is over, you've weathered the storm and the
situation is under control…fatigue kicks in.

The first thing I do once I scrub out of a long surgery is to rush to the
rest room and take a leak. Over the years, the speed at which I rush to the
loo has reduced, as quite remarkably, my bladder capacity has increased.
Following this, I go to talk to attenders to inform them that the surgery
went as planned. Then I sit for a meal. Once I'm done with this,I plug in
my headphones, lie down on the recliner and rest for a good half an hour. And
pray to god no emergency turns up in the meantime.

Q3 What do people eat for breakfast in India?

A3 Sai Satya Sruthi, Lives in Hyderabad, Telangana, India 5y

Well! I live in Hyderabad. My mom is a teacher and we should leave home by
7:00 am morning every day except Sunday. So this is everyday breakfast.

  Case 1:

Does anyone love upma?

Monday :Upma - Upma Rava Version (Semolina - Wikipedia)

Tuesday :Upma- Bambino Vermicelli Version(Roasted bambino :D)Semiya Upma

Wednesday :Upma - Wheat Rava Version (Godhuma Rava upma )

Thursday :Upma - Tomato Version of it. (I call it red upma)

Friday :Upma - Aval Version (Atukulu upma)- upma made with poha and other
veggies.

Saturday :Upma - Sabudana Version (I love this one.)

Sunday : Special ?Yeah!!!

May be Poori or Vada

 Case 2 :

My mom prepares Idli and Dosa Batter and put it in fridge.

So in alternate days- Idli or Dosa. Or May be types of Dosa. Onion dosa or
omlete dosa , she make many versions of it.

Case 1 and Case 2 repeats like a cycle.

I got used to eat upma that whenever I am hungry I ask her to do upma. Upma
is like maggi. 2 min - Upma done!

And never miss your breakfast :D

Q3 Why do I feel so down and not happy anymore? I also feel
really tired and non-motivated. Is that normal for someone to feel that way?

A3 Ratnamala Kamath, M'com from Karnatak University, Dharwad
(Graduated 1988)5h

I will be 60 soon. I am not happy, nothing seems to make me happy and I
feel down and low.

I drag myself to cook and do some daily chores and cleaning the house.

For the most part of the day I just feel so tired and listless.

I have lost interest in life itself ever since my husband was diagnosed
with an incurable illness this January.I feel life is so unfair to good
people.

I now and then break down. Somehow my eyes just fill with tears. Even as
I'm writing this I'm crying.

Nothing seems worth it anymore.

I wish there was some way I could give him some years of my life.I know
life is a journey and we are all temporary on this earth yet I feel
heartbroken.

He wanted to travel and see many places after his retirement. We travelled
a lot last year with my sister and brother in law. But my husband wanted to
go on a foreign trip, the possibility of this seems bleak now.

The only small light in this whole thing is that we are a little more
closer now than we were these many years.

The road ahead seems dark and lonely to me

*So to answer your question, if you are facing some crisis in your life,
health, career or family it's normal to feel as you are feeling especially
if you are above 50.*

If you are a young person who is facing some small crisis then it's normal
to feel as you are feeling temporarily. But you need to motivate yourself
and snap out of the above feeling else you may fall into depression.

Q4 What are the most middle class things ever?

A4 Vansh Yadav, Trying to live a life worth remembering! Jun 2

Q5 What is the Smashing Ghar Wapsi News: Two Muslim women
become Hindu?

A5 Supriya Kumar, Thu

Ghar Wapsi is now the rage in Uttar Pradesh, Many Muslim men and women are
abandoning their religion and embracing Hindu Dharma. Recently, two Muslim
women from Bareilly and Moradabad did Ghar Wapsi.

Farhana becomes Pallavi

In the first case, Farhana from Bareilly decided to quit Islam in order to
marry her Hindu lover. Keep reading.

Farhana belongs to Milak village in Bareilly and works in Chandigarh. A few
months ago, she met a boy working in the same office, who also belongs to
Bareilly. The two quickly became friends and began spending a lot of time
together. This friendship turned into love.

The boy told Farhana that his name was Dharmvir and was a staunch Hindu. He
also told his Muslim girlfriend that their marriage would be impossible as
long as she remained a Muslim. Becoming Hindu was a precondition for their
union, Dharmvir told Farhana.

Farhana didn’t waste a second. While in Bareilly, she contacted the local
Hindu organizations and with their help, changed her religion. Her new name
was Pallavi.

Now that Farhana was Hindu, she approached Dharmvir again and today they
are a proud Hindu couple. I am not showing their photos due to privacy
reasons.

 ‘Goodbye to Islam’

Meanwhile, another Muslim girl, Nargis also decided to say Goodbye to
Islam. She belongs to Moradabad. Her decision to quit Islam is similar to
Farhana’s; Nargis wanted to unite with her Hindu lover.

Last May, Nargis went to the local police thana and told the cops there
that she wanted protection. The girl told the police that since she loved a
Hindu man, she feared for her life from her parents. The cops agreed to her
request and placed armed guards at Nargis’ residence. Now that she was
safe, Nargis went ahead and married her lover after embracing Hindu Dharma.

My general note- All the QA are relating to culture.
