*T20 World Cup* India's sensational victory in yesterday's ICC T20 World Cup final was a true team effort. It was only six months or so ago that India, after winning 10 matches on the trot, lost the *ODI World Cup finals to Australia.* The entire team was visibly heartbreaking. Both Rohit and Virat looked emotionally and physically drained out. So much so that it was not clear whether both wanted to play in the *T20 2024 World Cup.* Not to mention the weight of pressure and expectations from over 1 billion people. But the loss in the ODI final seems to have further fueled Rohit's and his team's burning desire to win a World Cup trophy for India. Every individual demonstrated this during the initial matches in the US on unknown pitch conditions and then at different venues against any opposition to reach the finals as one of the two unbeaten teams. In the T20 finals, it was amazing to see Rohit and his team overcome the demons of losses in the Test Championship, ODI World Cup finals, and 2022 T20 semi-finals to win the ICC T20 2024 World Cup. What stands out in this victory is the contribution from each and every member. *Rohit's *choice to bat first and how well he used his trump card, Bumrah. *Kohli contributed 43% of the team's runs, *and more important is how he adjusted to the situation. Kohli started off with a blazing strike rate of 280, then, with the loss of three quick wickets, he prioritized holding one and ended up with a strike rate of just 84. It was out of hope and as a last resort that Rohit turned to Bumrah. Bumrah didn't just offer hope; he delivered the World Cup for India.
