He was woken up by a phone call from the PM ' s office at 3 am on 30th July. With instructions to go to Wayanad and oversee rescue operations. He flew to Bangalore by the 6 am flight, then to Kozhikode by army helicopter. >From there to the landslide affected area by road. From the morning of 30th July till 4th August, just a few hours after landslides, this man has been walking and working nonstop in the affected areas, Traversing risky roads with the army and rescue teams, making arrangements for rescue operations, the Bailey bridge, lending a ear, a shoulder, a helping hand to the affected. Also liaisoning with the central government. No cameras (like 32 cameras with RG , no press conferences, no show sha, no nautanki, just compassionate dedication. The press in Kerala have ignored (not surprised) his work. And he hasn't bothered with highlighting his work or making FB posts. But the people on ground are watching.
