Drawing+Tree - a story about love and ego – Osho

Lower Love and higher the EGO osho says.

Once there was an old and majestic tree with branches stretched to the sky.
When flourishing, butterflies of all shapes and colors came from everywhere
and danced around it.

When she was making fruits, birds from distant lands came to taste from
them. His branches looked like vanity arms. It was wonderful!

A boy used to come and play under him every day, and the tree became
accustomed to him and began to love him. What is great and old can fall in
love with what is small and young, provided he is not attached to the idea
that he is big and the small one.

The tree had no idea, so she fell in love with the boy.

The ego always tries to love what is bigger than him. For true love,
nothing is big or small. She embraces all those who are approaching.

So, the tree fell in love with the boy who came every day to play under
him. His branches were very high, but he leaned in order for the boy to
touch them, to caress his flowers and gather his fruit.

Love is always ready to tilt, the ego, never. If you try to get close to an
ego, it will rise even more, becoming so stiff that you can not touch it.
What can be achieved is considered to be small. What can not be achieved,
the one who stands on the throne of power is considered to be great.

So, whenever the boy came, the tree bent its branches. When the little girl
was feeding her flowers, the old tree felt an incredible happiness wave.

Love is always happy when it can give you something; The ego can not be
happy than when he takes something from someone else.

The boy grew up. Sometimes she was sleeping at the bottom of the tree,
sometimes eating her fruit, or wearing a crown woven from her flowers.

He felt like he was the king of the land. The flowers of love always make
you feel like a king, while the spirits of the ego make you feel miserable.

Seeing the boy wearing a crown of his flowers and dancing with her, the
tree felt happy. Encourage him with the branches; Singing in the wind. The
by grew even bigger. He began to climb in the tree, leaning on his
branches. Whenever he rested on them, the tree felt happy. Love is always
happy when someone else leans on it; The ego is not happy when someone else
reconfirms it ...

Time has passed, and the boy has begun to be pressed by other duties. He
had his ambitions. He had to pass some exams, make friends ... That's why
he started to come to the tree less and less. But he was expecting him with
increasing excitement, calling him out of the depths of his soul: "come,
come ... I am waiting for you!"

Love always awaits the subject of affection. It is nothing more than a
continual waiting.

When the boy did not come, the tree felt sad. The only sadness that love
feels is that it can not be shared with someone else, that it can not be
bestowed. When you can give it all, love is happy.

The boy was great, and the days he visited the tree were all the more rare.
Everyone who grows up in the world of ambitions finds less and less time
for love. The boy became ambitious and trapped in his affairs. "What tree?
Why should I visit him? "One day, as he passed, the tree cried out," Hey! I
expect you every day, but you do not come to me anymore. " The boy replied,
"What can you give me to go see you?" I want money. I could come but only
if you have something to offer. Otherwise, I do not see why I would do it.
" The ego is always motivated. The ego always has a purpose.

Love has no purpose, it is its own reward.

Amazed, the tree said to the boy, "Will you not come unless I give you
something? I give you everything I have. " Love never keeps anything for
her. The ego does it, but love is given unconditionally.
