Very interesting case, pl listen. What he failed to say, and I have written to him privately, in addition to my comments there, is: The father of the present CJI was one of the notorious judges who held during the Emergency that the State has the right to take away a citizen 's life. Justice Khanna was the ONLY dissenting judge and he was superceded by another judge of the notorious group, to become the next CJI. He resigned but still lives in our hearts. Teesta Setalvad - Setalvad connection. She was found guilty by the Allahabad H C, of misusing the NGO funds, (collected in the name of helping Gujarat riot victims), after many hearings. The same evening the S C heard her case for bail, AFTER office hours - that too when the CJI, along with his colleagues, was attending a dance program of the daughter of a fellow judge of the S C. He cameout of the program and constituted a two judges Bench. BUT they gave a split verdict. Then the CJI ( PRESENT CJI), the same evening constituted another one man Bench which gave her bail. All because her surname was Setalvad. So much for justice. And we don't even know.
