VG writes on Kerala hC decision; Mr G writes about Malayalam spoken -royal family -Devis etc. Any central point derived from. However hard G wishes and VG wishes or even Sai wishes, truth can neve be erased or changed. Kerala HC did not define sastha (sounds like that in VG article) as celibate. Ayyappan @ sastha named by some as, is a celibate. Sasha is not Ayyappan. Bhuthanathapakyanam in Bhagavatam (later editions have many insertions including Buddhist's versions and so considered only as a secondary tertiary evidences subject to a lot of verifications) connects siva vishnu episode of kritha yuga to Kaliyuga which is farfetched. Sastha was there right from Kritha yuga. Ayyappoan is just 800 year older. Worshipping any deity is the freedom of sanathana dharma; so calling calling some with names of some is a kind of bhakthi but never they are connected. Kerala HC stopped with the decision whether women may go; that too on the basis of a constitution; as a matter of fact ayyappan being named as sastha itself is a wrong nomenclature; if a celibate shall not be visited by women, then married sastha cannot be added as a name to a brahmachari also. All temples adopt marketing strategy exploiting the gullibles. If any discussion made pl make out the central point. KR IRS 41224

I have made my posting after watching many talks from the royal family heads in the TV, You-tube interviews etc.. In recent talks the Pandalam Royal family confirms Malika Purathamma is their Kuladevatha/Paradevatha - Madurai Meenakshi. I too have heard the Mahishi mochana legend from my parents. But the Pandalam royal family says the legend has no connection with Malikapurathamma. *The royal representative coming to Sabarimalai, worship Malikapurathamma. * Further it may be an interesting point- The royal family head goes to see the son. They simply stand before the sanctum, look at idol from a side. *They never fold the hand there. They stand with all Parivattams*. They have no fast. Most go after hair cutting and shaving. Regarding their talking of Malayalam I thought after posting. Two points came in my mind 1. On those days mostly Nampoothiries wed royal family ladies. Many had other wives, they just visited once a month or so. Few nampoothiries did not wed any one else, lived in the palaces with their own jobs like owning shops, performing pooja in temples etc. They talked only Malayalam. So more than 50% of royal family members are born to Nampoothiries of Kerala. 2. All the family members are same Gothram, so the men married from other royal families in Kerala, who talked only Malayalam. Mr Sreedharan had responded they talked both Tamil and Malayalam without details. I like to hear more from him. Nowadays, royal lady members are wedded to other royal families. Nampoothiri wedding the royal lady has gone out of practice. I will write separately about Mannati Devi.
