“Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value” is a quote by Albert Einstein that emphasizes the importance of following core values and making a lasting impact on the world. Here are some ways to be of value:
- *Be helpful*: Find ways to help people overcome their problems - *Be useful*: Apply your skills to contribute to something - *Be thoughtful*: Consider what people might need or want - *Be ethical*: Ensure your work and business practices are ethical and sustainable - *Consider the impact*: Think about the social and environmental impact of your creations The quote suggests that people who focus on being of value tend to be rewarded the most. It also highlights that the path to a successful and rewarding life is to enrich the world through your actions, kindness, and contributions. 2 Success is a goal that many people aspire to, but not everyone knows how to achieve it. Some people think that success is about having a lot of money, fame, or power. But these things are not enough to make you happy or fulfilled. Success is more than just what you have, it's also about what you give. You see, it's very good to be successful, but better to become a person of value. Success doesn't come on its own. Success majorly relies on values. The more value you give, the more successful you become. So, rather than working on increasing your success rate, you should work on your value rate. What does it mean to be a person of value? It means that you have something to offer to the world, something that can make a positive difference in the lives of others. It means that you are not just a consumer, but a creator. It means that you are not just a follower, but a leader. It means that you are not just a taker, but a giver. How can you become a person of value? Here are some tips that can help you: *- Find your passion and purpose.* What are you good at? What do you enjoy doing? What do you care about? What problems do you want to solve? These are the questions that can help you discover your passion and purpose in life. When you find your passion and purpose, you will have a clear vision of what you want to achieve and how you can contribute to the world. *- Develop your skills and knowledge.* Once you have found your passion and purpose, you need to work on improving your skills and knowledge in that area. You need to learn from the best, practice constantly, and seek feedback. You need to keep growing and learning, so that you can offer more value to others. You need to become an expert in your field, so that you can provide solutions, insights, and innovations. *- Share your value with others.* The final step to becoming a person of value is to share your value with others. You need to find ways to express your passion and purpose, and to help others with your skills and knowledge. You need to create value for others, whether it's through your products, services, content, or relationships. You need to give value to others, whether it's through your time, money, advice, or support. Everything you plan achieving this month is solely dependent on the value you give out. Your outflow determines your inflow. The value you give out determines how people value you. Don't be angry when people don't value you. Most people would relate with you based on the value you carry. Your job or your business requires value from you. Having years of experience at doing something doesn't mean that's what the people need or want. What people need is the value your experience brings to them. Your life experiences can either be valuable or useless. The choice is yours. You can either be a person of value or a person of no value. You can either be a person of success or a person of failure. You can either be a person of happiness or a person of misery. Choose to be a person of value, and you will achieve success. Choose to be a person of success, and you will be happy. Choose to be a person of happiness, and you will live a fulfilling life. 3 Chapter 2, Verse: 47 The verse is— कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते मा फलेषु कदाचन। मा कर्मफलहेतुर्भूर्मा ते सङ्गोऽस्त्वकर्मणि॥ २-४७ In Roman scripts— Karmanye vadhikaraste Ma Phaleshu Kadachana, Ma Karmaphalaheturbhurma Te Sangostvakarmani We have noticed, sometimes people use two words for कर्मण्येवाधिकारस्ते or Karmanyevadhikaraste and write it “Karmanye Vadhikaraste”, that is also fine, but I feel it is better to use it as one word, as in the original sloka (verse), it is a joined word (*sandhi*). (Karmaya+eva+adhikarah+te) The meaning of the verse is— You have the right to work only but never to its fruits. Let not the fruits of action be your motive, nor let your attachment be to inaction.
