Here is the third section of the story of the shloka! *Subject:* *Fwd: Maha Bharatham (3)* *Subject:* *Maha Bharatham (3)* The particular shloka that will follow herein is part of Virata Parva ,with the details of the AGNYATHAVASA of Pandavas. As per this agreement , Pandavas must live “incognito” for one year and if they do so they will be given back their kingdom that was unfairly taken by Dhuryodhana. Pandavas did this in the Virata Desha and they have almost completed that task. Dhuryodhana was getting furious and was making all efforts to locate them before the end of one year period He came to know that there is a possibility that Pandavas are in Virata Desha . He therefore consulted his uncle Shamuni as to how to find out the truth. As per Shakuni’s advice he sent a small army to Virata Desha first to steal their cattle from the pasture land. When the Virata king is engaged in fighting with this small army, the main Kaurava army can invade Virata from the other side. If Pandavas are in Virata, they will come out in open to defend Virata and at that time, they can be spotted and they can be sent back again to comlete their promise by another 13 years of exile! Accordingly a small contingent went and captured the cattle and as expected the King of Virata came out with his small army , to recover the cattle.In the meanwhile, the huge main army of Kauravas came out on the other side and besieged Virata kingdom. The people of Virata became panicky! The crown prince of Virata , Uththara Kumara was in experienced , but had this job on hand to fight with the mighty Kaurava army! In the palace he was mKing empty boasts that he can himself alone defeat the Kauravas, but he required a good chariot Driver (Sarathy) for him to go and fight the Kauravas! Ganga Bhatta ( Yudhishtra) realised that their one year incognito life is completing that very day! He therefore told everybody that the Dance Master Bruhan Nalai (Arjuna) is a good Sarathy and he can mam the chariot of the crown prince and go to the battle, and the crown prince will route out the Kauravas! Arjuna understood the command is from Yudhishtra and readily agreed to go to the battle as the Sarathy of the crown prince! The crown prince was caught in a fix and now has to go for the war with the mighty KUravas! Tremblingly he mounted the chariot driven by Arjuna and went out to the open battle field! In the battle field , the kaurava army saw the young boy coming alone in the chariot with no help other than the Ratha Sarathy! It is at this juncture the words spoken by Acharya Dhrona comes.
