However… If New Zealand wins the toss and decides to bat, they might score something challenging. But if they score too much, India will chase it. If they score too little, India will definitely chase it. And if the score is somewhere in between… India will still try to chase it — and probably win while chasing. So the final prediction is crystal clear: If India bats first and defends well — India wins.
