That sounds fine, I only suggested popup windows because I thought  
they might be easiest.  A "drawer"-style right panel for detailed  
information would be ideal, but we should be careful to ensure that  
the association between the information in this panel, and the  
selected item, is clear.

Do you think a similar pop-out panel could be used for providing the  
necessary information for uploads and downloads?
