Hi
I recently started a new small tank for a number of baby livebearers &
thought it would be a good idea to get some small bristlenose to help.
I got two - one lived only a day & the other one died today after 8
days. At first they were very active but that slowed down until there
was no activity at all & the second one finally died today.
I have 2 large Bristelnoses in my main tank & have never had any
problems & they are many years old. This new tank although small has a
PH 7.0 & test for nitrates was fairly low. The main tank has a higher
level of nitrates most of the time but does not get into the high
level & the PH is the same. All the babies are doing fine & in fact
are growing at a fast rate with the help of a lot of live food plus
fine flakes.
Any ideas guys?
Many thanks
Pat
