I run into this error when I use Theano directly and from Keras. Both install with pip and for python 2.7 without raising any errors. I'm running this on a 64-bit version of Solaris, which I believe is a supported platform for Theano according to PyPi. I've looked around for possible causes of this error but they all seem to be related to windows users. The one suggestion I found for Unix was rm -rf .theano from the root directory but I tried that and I'm still getting this error.
