Now THIS is an excellent article. I read the Bram Stoker novel more than once, and always enjoyed the first person atmosphere created by reading first, Jonathan Harker's Journal, then later on in the book, reading Mina Harker's Journal.

Here's a fact that most Dracula fans don't know. It was HOLLYWOOD that translated the Transylvanian word DRACUL as DEVIL. This is an INCORECT translation. The REAL translation is DRAGON. Vlad II, was known to his people as the  patriarch of THE CLAN OF THE DRAGON. Vlad II was a very real hero to his people. He Didn't go about impaling just anyone at random for his own pleasure. He DID impale Turk soldiers and left them for their comrades to find, when he realized that his own soldiers were losing the battle with the Islamic attackers. It was this act that terrified the Turks, and drove them from Transylvanian soil.
