My Thought about the hole Fict Fight :P Yellow fellow Fan's... A Note to the unwize: After surching the web for fanfict's of my favourit Vampir 'Louis'. To my horror I find that most VC fict wrighters have been forsed to go underground and so secrative that you have to know the right ppl. And all becouse Anne Rice has to many bloody lawyers! and is overly protective of her own chara! I'm sorry but I see this as pathetick and childish. espeshaly when she is doing it to the people and fans that love her and her creations the most. The Internet had opend up a new world where ppl of creativaty can now shere there inspired mind's with others. Fanfiction has vagly been recognised *I'm speacking and refuring to Slash, Yaoi, MM fict's mostly on this page* for what it is. Most fict's are writen by Women for Women. After all what else do we have? trashy romance drible, House & garden or Baby care. Like me for years I resorted to Fantasy (Si-Fi) after finding the horror section lacking. But then I found Fandum a whole world where people used the charictors I loved to carry on great storis and leave you dribbaling for more from the atual Authers.
I have a threy why Anne Rice is so protective, I think maybe she is scared cos half the fict wrighters out there are better Authers than herself, or that someone might come up with a plot she was thinking of using. But all the same I can not see WHY Anne Rice proceed's to hurt the people that hold her is almost hero worship, there site's nothing but homig to her, Churchs, if you like, to her own creativaty. To drive the nail in prepherbial coffin, I atualy think there are far better Authers out there who would die for the fame Anne Rice so quickly snub's. This site and my fanfict's are here for one reson and one reson only, My Love for Louis and my love for the film 'Interview witht he Vampire'. I pay homig to them, not the auther who dose not apresheat us all for keeping her in prophit... As for her view on we should all creat our own chara and the like... Well... Most of the best fict wrighters do that too, Only I think she misses the point of fanfiction. Useing chara already well established in the mind's of the fan's of said fict. It leaves fict authers free to get right into a good story line, Not haveing to explain the in's and out's of the chara, or the history behind them. And if the fan likes the authers work then they will be willing to read anything else the fanfiction auther has written. Not everyone who right's want's or can be published, and they just want ppl to enjoy there writing's... BANE Huntress
