Blood Scar, chapter 3

Chapter Three
A Hunger So Deadly
He heard her before she approached, her heart was beating wildly, and he
smelled something that sickened him. It wasn't the rosewater, it was something
else. She had it in her hand, and she was going to use it as a weapon against
him.
Releasing Quentin, not yet feeding, he was becoming enraged, when she
approached and saw him with Quentin. She pulled out the crucifix, and she
didn't
realise he had disappeared.
Screaming, she dropped the crucifix, he had materialized behind her,
grabbing her around the throat, and his low laughter caused her heart to beat f
aster, and her blood was rushing through her veins like a river. He could
almost
see it, and he could smell its coppery scent intermingled with her fear. It
was exciting him, and he was going to have her, when Quentin pulled him off
her.
In a movement that couldn't be detected by the human eye, Morgan hit Quentin
hard across the face, and Quentin fell on the ground, his nose beginning to
bleed. Morgan could smell the blood, it was inflaming him. He could feel
himself becoming hard.
He walked slowly, catlike, seductively to the woman, and pulled her into his
forbidden embrace. He kissed her softly, and she tried not to return the
kiss, but it was useless. He was holding her now, whispering soothing words
into
her hair. He pulled away from her, holding her at arm length, and looked at
her, studying her face, and saw naked desire, coupled with need.
"Dr. Hoffman, I want you, and I need you badly." Morgan whispered sensually.

Julia tried to embrace him, but he held her at arms length, and said, "no.
You have to want me also. I won't force you. Say it." Morgan said.
Looking at him, he could see the conflict going on in her mind, weighing
what she was about to do, and maybe a feeling of betrayal, then she whispered
the words, "I want you, Morgan."
He pulled her to him, kissed her softly, then deepened the kiss into a long
hard passionate kiss. He felt her response, he could feel her trying to get
closer to him, her nipples hardened, wanting more from him. Breaking the kiss,
his hands on each side of her head, kissing her lightly down the side of her
jaw, coming to the carotid, he had to force himself not to rip into the
vein.
He felt Julia shiver with anticipation, and that movement sent him over the
edge, and he took her violently, drinking greedily, pleasure shot through him
consuming him, the hunger diminishing, the pain leaving, and Julia's
response to him was as powerful as his was to her. Grasping her to him, trying
to
hold her so tight they would become one. Visions of her need was almost as
consuming as his own need. He sucked greedily, and he wanted her as a man
wants a
woman. He took her hand and placed it on his erection, but something was
wrong. Her hand was limp. Oh no, god no, his mind screamed, as he disengaged
his
fangs from her, and the lifeless woman fell to his feet.
"Morgan, my god, what have you done?" Quentin now conscious, questioned the
fledgling vampire.
"Get away from me, Quentin!" Morgan raged in a voice so primal, and so
frightening that Quentin stepped away, the fallen Julia forgotten.
Morgan enjoyed the look of fear he saw in Quentin's eyes, and realized he
was still hungry, and needed to experience the heady feeling of power that the
blood had given him.
"Morgan?" Quentin questioned, approaching the vampire, determined not to be
afraid of Morgan, who appeared to be out of his mind with blood lust.
"Yes, Quentin." Morgan answered, fangs descending, blood smeared across his
mouth.
He was so sensual, and the quiet voice in which Morgan had answered was
hypnotic, and Quentin knew what Morgan was intending, and was determined not
to
be ensnared again by this out-of-control fledgling.
Quentin smiled with satisfaction, noting the confused look on Morgan's face,
when Quentin had laughed a low laugh, approaching him slowly, then he pulled
the forgotten crucifix, and Morgan screamed, and begin to run, and found
himself facing Barnabas, and he couldn't move.
