I shouldn't posting this on the list, but I'm a very happy vampire. I'm sure the Mistress won't mind me sharing. At 3:20 Tuesday morning, my little dog, Peaches gave birth to a gorgeous little girl, we've named Muffin. At 3:50 a second little girl, Cocoa arrived. Sugar, and adorable little boy was born at 4:50. All three are fat, and perfect, and 100 % pure Chihuahua! Muffin is pale fawn, with white markings, like her Momma. Cocoa (my husband named her!) is chocolate, with four white socks, a white blaze on her forehead and nose, and a white splash on her neck. Sugar, the only little boy, is pale fawn, solid color, all over, with a tiny white tip on the very end of his tiny little tail, and a tiny white blaze on his forehead. Two get their color from Momma, and the little Chocolate one is unique. The babies' father, Max, a four pound, sweet little guy, has the traditional black and russet markings you see on a Doberman Pinscher. But he, too is pure Chihuahua! I had planned to sell them for $500 each, but my husband is afraid to let them go because they might not get good homes. Looks like this vampire's coffin just got a bit more crowded! Anyway, I'm glad it's over. This has been a tough 9 weeks for me, and my little Peaches because this is her first litter. Prayers do pay off, because she got through it with no major problems. The first two puppies were breach presentation - born tail first - but I grabbed them and pulled for all I was worth to help my little girl with the delivery. The little boy was born normally, head first, and arrived very quickly and easily. My mortal husband and I can finally relax, and watch our little Grand kids grow.
