Wow! Thanks for passing this on to me! You know how much I loved watching Gary
in this role! He is a fantastic actor and has done so many different things.
His most recent role in in the Harry Potter films, and in these he looks very
much like he did in Dracula. It seems to be his signature look, the long hair
and small beard, and Gosh, he looks sooooo delicious like that! I envy his
wife. And, thanks so much for featuring Gary this month. I look forward to each
post and each new video, and I save each picture. Sorry I haven't been on line
much. I've been Simming ( playing the Sims 3) and have been having a lot of fun
with some new Sims that I downloaded along with a few homes from the exchange.
One family was an assortment of Vampires and ghosts, fathered by a Grim Reaper.
Someone figured out to make the Reaper, who appears when a Sim dies, to take
them away (he leaves an urn or a grave stone behind) a playable character and
posted how to do it on the chat forums at the Sims 3 site. So a lot of players
(we call ourselves Simmers) have been able to make The Reaper guy playable and
have naturally produced children fathered by the Reaper. His children
are...black skinned...and learn very quickly, like Sim Vampires do, but
otherwise are much like other Sims. I downloaded a creepy house from the
Exchange and got a family called Vadervax. They were two elders, both normal
looking Vampires, a normal looking lady vampire ( the elder guy's daughter)
named Angua, her husband, The Reaper, named Doden, and their 3 kids (a teen boy
named Mort, and two adolescent daughters named Alissa and Melinda) one daughter
is a ghost/vampire and the the other is a hundred percent Reaper ( other
players call them Death's Children). Aside fcrom looking weird they act just
like all of the other Sims. The other strange families I downloaded have blue
skin and green skin. My current family, the Anarkus family, are blue skinned
and live in a huge house with an underground swimming pool! I have two green
skinned families, and one family who is white, but all have lime green hair!
Another family I'm anxious to play are called the Slobbo family, are made up of
six slobs- all males-who live happily in a junk yard!Junk yards are an
important part of play in Sims 3, because inventors need to go there to get
scrap for their projects. The most annoying thing with the expansion pack is
the fact that now all Sims want to be celebrities and have agents who promote
them, and there are pestered by the Paparazzi who hang around them where ever
they go, snapping pictures, and even get into their homes! So far I've found
the Goths with a little Mortimer, Agnes Crumplebottom ( in Sims 2 she was the
old lady who went around hitting people with her purse!), Don Lothario, the
Caliente sisters Dina and Nina, and the Gilscarbo family (Goopy Gilscarbo's mom
and older sister),The Cuious family, the Bachelor family with a little Bella
(Who we know marries Mortimer) and the Angorak family with a young Kaylyn
(Kaylyn is the maid who is woo hooing Daniel Pleasant and Don Lothario).I've
also found the Broke family living in a cluttered trailer park. Skip Broke, who
later marries Brandy Broke, is still a child. Sims 3 is supposed to take place
BEFORE Sims 2, but with all of these charcters showing up in Sims 3, and in
separate towns ( most live in Sunset Valley, but Don Lothario lives in
Riverview, the Curious family lives in Twinbrook, and the Calientes and the
Gilscarbos live in Barnacle Bay)I wonder how they all end up in Pleasantview
and Strangetown later on? In the new town Bridgeport there hasn't been any
familiar faces. I'm anxiously waiting for Sims Midievil which is due out in
March. The tailers look fantastic! There will be knights in armor, wizards and
lots of swordfights, and the art work looks great! The Sims look very different
than all of the others...more human. This one will be a stand alone game like
the Sims Stories series for laptop. There is a lot of chat about the new Sims 3
for console. I may buy the one for XBox 360 because there are some new
motivations and the Sims look a little different. I have Sims 2 Castaway, and
Sims3 Ambitions, and Sims 3 World Adventures for Cell phone but those are
Really limited, as well as being hard to see on those tiny screens!I get a
headache from playing on my husband's phone. It is REALLY small, and the screen
on my blackberry isn't really much bigger. I get really bad eyestrain. The only
good Thing about the mobil versions is the price- $4.99. I paid $2.99 for
Castaway, but compared to the PC game the mobil games are really crude and
limited! I have Sims 2 for PSP and the graphics are MUCH better. I want to get
Sims 3 for DS and PSP later to see what they are like. They are also much less
expensive. Sims Midievil is $49.99. Not cheap. There is also a new Stuff Pack
due out at the same time as Sims Midievil. That's another $19.99. Playing The
Sims is an expensive past time, especially when you have to buy a new PC to
play it on! My new PC cost me $2000.00! I'm glad my husband was able to buy it
for me. My other PC ran the game but it crashed a LOT because the graphics card
wasn't powerful enough to handle it. Well, enough about that. Thanks once
again for featuring gorgeous Gary Oldman. I'm loving every post!
Feed Well and Fly Free. Gloria
