? This is my first fanfic, so if you want me to continue with Alex's tale please reveiw, the more comments I get, the sooner I will update her story:) The Heart of the Hunter Book One: Arch Angels Legacy Alexandria Ryder has been hunting vampires her whole life, well most of it anyway. All thanks to a secret organization call the Arch Angels, a group of killers who kill anything supernatural, and then help the victims of these attacks get back to a normal life. When Alex is sent to Washington D.C. on a new assignment, she knew it would be dangerous, considering she was hunting the biggest, bad-ass vampire on the Eastern side of America, Devon Brookes. There's only one problem, she never expected to fall in love with him, the creature that she despised the most. Will Alex give up the life she's had for so long, or will she leave this tough vampire's heart in the dust? Chapter One, Alex: She could now say that this man, this vampire, was starting to piss her off. Everything it left behind was clean, no prints, no blood smears, nothing. Now she understood why she was being placed on this case. This vampire was one of the best on the East coast, and she had been called to place a stake in its heart. Nudging the corpse of the dead woman, dressed in hardly any clothes, with her toe-clad boot she knew that for today, the case wouldn't go very far, they couldn't get a print from the victim, and there were no personal effects to be found. Alex's day was going to be a long and hard one. "I'm sorry ma'am, but this is a secure crime scene, your not allowed to be here" said a sheriff with a Northern accent that Alex despised deeply. Somehow it always seemed to crawl up under her skin. Sighing she flipped open her badge and replied "Agent Alexandria Ryder, I'm from the Arch Angels, this murder is under my jurisdiction boys." Raising him eyebrow slightly the sheriff's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "What is the Arch Angels? We've never heard of it before, and what jurisdiction could you possibly have over us?" he asked with a frown that only made his wrinkles look more defined on his old wrinkled face. "We're a highly classified organization from the government; your clearance isn't high enough to even think about us, sheriff. This murder goes along with a string that I've been investigating for the past two years" she replied adding an insult into the explanation. Tucking a strand of blonde hair behind her ear she leaned over the body and found what she was looking for. "Bingo", she whispered taking a cotton swab and using it to pick up the little piece of evidence, the only piece she needed to tie a vampire to this killing, and this killing spree. His venom that he had left behind, something that not even the most highly skilled vampires could pick up. "Well, what is it?" asked the sheriff, clearly not understanding a word she had said early. Placing the cotton swab in a baggie that she sealed, she placed it in her jacket pocket, turned towards the water and said "Nothing you need to worry about sheriff." With a flick of her wrist, she had two big burly men from the agency come and lift the dead woman into the body bag, and then carried her off to one of the vans that would take her to the agency and down to autopsy, hoping that they would find something they could use as evidence against this bastard.
