In Windows, just bring up your Windows clock and un-check "Automatically apply DST" (or similar words), then set the computer clock one hour ahead to Eastern time if you are in the Central time zone. On your calendar write the past DST start date, April 1, and put everything back to normal on that date, or sometime before October. Go manual again in the fall to cover the dates from the last Sunday in October to the new date, the first Sunday in November. It seems to work for me. Perhaps the above instructions could be condensed. Let's see: On March 11 set your computer clock one hour forward and uncheck automatic DST. On November 4, set your computer clock back an hour, leaving automatic DST unchecked year-round.
