Learning a new method is a lot like getting a new kitten at
first: all cute and cuddly, loads of fun, and did I say cute?!
If it's the Law of Attraction, you set about attracting your
desires into your life. If you've started to draw by seeing into
things, you begin to feel connected, for brief moments. This is
really cool! At first.

"The trouble with a kitten is that, eventually it becomes a cat,"
goes the old folk wisdom. New solutions don't stay fresh forever
either.

Methods that have lost their lustre aren't broken. Neither are
you. Kittens grow up, that's all. That's the nature of things.
Though kittens are cute, playful, and curious, adolescent and
adult cats are as wonderfully unique as you are.

The constant change and growth in all things is part of the glory
of life. Whether we see it as trouble or glory is a view we get
to choose at every moment.

Work along for awhile within your new mode of making art, another
need will arise that seems to block you in some way. Your art
might start to look too contrived, or too chaotic, or
uninteresting, or any number of ways that pleased you once, but
now don't so much.

That is, if you're lucky.

"Are you out of your mind?" I hear you saying.
How can it be lucky to become dissatisfied?
Isn't the road to satisfaction aimed to get a comfortable
solution once and for all?

Well, no, it isn't.

We need to feel hungry. It's the doorway to receiving the
qualities we long for. Only out of sincere need can we surrender
the illusion of self-sufficiency and be filled with peace, love,
and all the other things we need. It's never settled once and
for all.

The blessing of a good meal is that, eventually you get hungry
again. Hunger is a blessing too. It leads to more eating. Full
grown cats hold as many blessings as kittens. They even hold the
possibility of more kittens. . .

Kittens and cats, hunger and fullness are constantly changing
places. If we focus on the one, in a wish to prolong that stage,
it stops the natural flow. It's like sticking to our first way
of drawing when we crayoned on the wall as children.

Rather than cling to any one method, why not enjoy it till the
next one develops? Your love of doing what you do best will
thrive through all your stages, if you keep filling your heart
with infinite inspiration.

What interesting route have you taken to reach for the goal of
your longing from the very beginning? As you walk your unique
path, your goal will develop and grow richer too if you let it.
What stage are you in right now - kitten, adolescent cat,
curious cat, older wiser cat?
