Tattoos Prove The Appeal Of Flowers

====================

It seems these days that tattoos are all the rage. Though
tattoos have been around for a long time, they were once
considered an "alternative" body decoration and you weren't
likely to find one on the person sitting next to you in church
on Sunday unless he was an ex-military man.

Tattoos Prove The Appeal Of Flowers

It seems these days that tattoos are all the rage. Though
tattoos have been around for a long time, they were once
considered an "alternative" body decoration and you weren't
likely to find one on the person sitting next to you in
church on Sunday unless he was an ex-military man. And,
tattoos on a woman were almost unheard of. That's no
longer true. Today, both men and women sport tattoos. Not
surprisingly, one of the most popular tattoos, especially
among women, is the flower. The numerous flower tattoos out
there just go to show you how much the world loves flowers!

In a recent study conducted by Rutgers University, flowers
were proven to make those who received them happier. And,
they've also been proven to boost the morale of those who
come in contact with them, even if they didn't receive the
flowers as a gift.

Flowers are also the perfect gift for almost everyone. A
gift of flowers can be customized to the particular likes
and dislikes of the recipient. You can choose flowers in
their favorite colors and scents, or choose flowers with a
particular meaning. Flowers meanings are generally passed
down historically and they can be everything from love to
refusal. And, the meaning for a particular flower can vary
depending on its color. Here are the meanings of some
popular flowers:

Flower - Meaning
Apple Blossom - Promise
Baby's Breath - Festivity
Begonia - Deep Thoughts
Black-Eyed Susan - Encouragement
Pink Carnation - Gratitude
Striped Carnation - Refusal
White Carnation - Remembrance
Yellow Carnation - Cheerful
White Chrysanthemum - Truth
Red Chrysanthemum - Sharing
Yellow Chrysanthemum - Secret Admirer
Crocus - Foresight
Daffodil - Chivalry
Daisy - Innocence
Holly - Domestic Happiness
Iris - Inspiration
Lilac - First Love
Magnolia - Dignity
Marigold - Desire for Riches
Pansy - Loving Thoughts
Pink Rose - Friendship
Red Rose - Passionate Love
White Rose - Purity
Yellow Rose - Zealous
Sunflower - Adoration
Sweetpea - Shyness
Pink Tulip - Caring
Purple Tulip - Royalty
Red Tulip - Declaration of Love
White Tulip - Forgiveness
Yellow Tulip - Hopelessly in Love
Zinnia - Thoughts of Friends

If you're not sure which flowers are best for the person
you're sending them to and for the message you want to
present. Your florist will be familiar with flower meanings
and can help you create the perfect arrangement with just a
bit of information from you. You'll need to let the florist
know what the occasion is, if the flowers are for a man or a
woman, the recipient's favorite flowers or colors, and a
little about the recipient's personality. Your gift of
flowers can be one that will bring a smile and memories to
last a lifetime.
