Could Carmen Electra Choose A Florist?

Carmen Electra has become such a versatile force in the celebrity
world that is seems she can do almost anything. She's worked in
television, film, theater, and has even created a fitness video.
It leaves one wondering if there's anything she can't do...for
instance, could she choose the right florist?

Choosing the right florist to fit your needs can make your flower
ordering and gift giving experiences much easier. Your florist
can be your ally and make you look like the best gift-giver in
town. He or she can help you remember important dates, like
birthdays and anniversaries, and be a key player in making sure
your loved ones always receive a beautiful and personal gift at
exactly the right time. But, unfortunately, as with every service
industry, all florists are not created equally. And, even though
one florist might be perfect for your neighbor, your needs might
be completely different.

To help you choose the florist that's right for you, the Society
of American Florists suggests you use these tips:

 * Look for a shop that offers lots of product choices. Because
everyone in your life is unique, they will have different likes
and dislikes. You'll need to find a florist that can accommodate
all those different personalities by offering a wide variety of
flowers and design choices.

 * Find a florist who is interested in getting to know you. If a
florist doesn't seem willing to take the time to find out who
you're ordering flowers for and what they can do to make the
experience better for you and the recipient, you should probably
find someone else for your floral needs. A good florist will keep
track of your floral likes and dislikes and offer to remind you
of upcoming important dates.

 * Find a florist who offers suggestions. You're a busy person
and you're not always going to know exactly what you want to
send. Your florist should be able to suggest new trends or
seasonal flowers that the recipient might enjoy. He or she should
also have ideas for making your gift unique.

 * Make sure your florist offers high quality products. If the
plants and flowers in the shop don't look healthy, keep looking!
There's nothing worse than ordering flowers for someone you love
only to find out their arrangement wilted the next day or just
wasn't as beautiful as it should be upon receipt.

 * Find a florist who is professionally affiliated. Florists who
love their craft enough to join professional affiliations are
usually more committed to quality than those who don't. Look for
affiliations with national wire services, like FTD and Teleflora,
and with national associations like the Society of American
Florists

All in all, you should never walk out of your florist's shop
feeling frustrated or confused. Your florist should be someone
you enjoy working with and who is as interested in bringing joy
to those you send flowers to as you are.
