The Golight remote control spotlights come in a wide array of
capabilities and formats. As such, this article looks to define
some of the important characteristics of the Golight Radioray and
Golight Stryker range of Golight remote controlled spotlights.

GOLIGHTS – WIRELESS REMOTE CONTROL

What do the Golight remote control spotlights have in common?
Golights are motorized spotlights that rotate a full 370 degrees
and tilt up and down 135 degrees. The motors are controlled by
remotes with enable the operator to move the light up and down
and back and forth at will. While some of the Golights come with
a wired remote control, most units come with a wireless remote
control. All Golights run on 12 and 24 volts systems,
distinguished by their part numbers.

For example, the Golight 7901 and Golight 7951 are 12 Volt DC
version, while the 24 volt versions, GL-7951-24-M and
GL-7901-24-M, contain a step down board which reduces the 24 Volt
DC power to 12 Volt DC power compatible with the 12 VDC bulb and
controller motors in the Golight. The Golight Radioray 2020 and
the Golight 2049 and Golight 2067 are now also available as 24
volt spotlight versions (GL-2020-24 and GL-2049-24 and
GL-2067-24). The Golight Stryker wireless remote controlled
spotlights come in 12 volt and 24 volt versions.

The Golight 3049, Golight 3067, Golight 3000, Golight 3051,
Golight 3100, Golight 3151, Golight 3066, Golight 3006 and
Golight 3106 are all available in 12 volt DC and 24 volt DC
versions. www.magnalight.com carries the complete line of 12V DC
and 24V DC Golight remote controlled spotlights and
searchlights.

12 Volt DC power systems are commonplace in consumer vehicles,
while 24 volt DC lights are required for military and some
commercial equipment applications. The Golight Radioray and
Golight Stryker remote controlled spotlights offer 12 Volt
applications for the consumer and light industrial marketplace,
while the 24 Volt DC models service the heavy industrial, work
machine, marine and military markets.

DC power is available is most vehicles, aircraft and boats, thus
the Golight remote controlled spotlights are applicable in nearly
every way in which people work, move and transport. In these
applications, operators are looking to control the direction of
the light.

In some cases, the operators are looking to remain safe and
secure within the shelter of the vehicle, while directing the
light beam to surrounding areas. Thus, both wirless and wired
remotes are used to control the lights in inclimate weather
conditions and in military operations. In other cases, people
use Golight remote controlled lights to assist in their work
efforts away from the vehicle.

While the Golight is attached to their vehicle, their wireless
remote controls give them the power to direct the light on their
work subject, even if their work subject moves. In this way, the
operator does not need to return to the vehicle to adjust the
angle of the light, even if they need to move to a new work area.
Utility company workers, with the use of bucket trucks may work
their way down a service line, nearly 30 feet above the ground.
With the Golight remote control light remote at their disposal,
they can adjust the angle of the light to follow their path
without lowering the bucket and returning to the truck.
