Acne Treatment Means Acne Prevention

The Zafino Method
http://www.thezafinomethod.com

Remember when you first got a zit on your face? You probably knew
that it was going to happen, because you had seen older boys and
girls start to experience acne as they went through puberty.

Remember how the acne seemed to get worse, and there was nothing
you could do to make it go away? The acne started to become more
severe. Sometimes there seemed to be great mounds of acne form on
your face that were so bad that you chose to stay at home for the
day.

The constant question that went through head was, 'why?' Why
did acne start to occur and why was it so intense?

The next question was, 'how do I treat my acne? How do I cure
myself of this horrible skin condition?'

And you very likely saw the thousands of advertisements that
proclaimed to have the best acne treatment. Products such as
Clearasil and Proactiv. These products claimed to have all the
answers. They would cure your acne.

So, you convinced your mother to buy them. And you used them and
found that they had little effect on your skin - your acne was
pretty much as bad as what it had been.

But you felt that it somehow mustn't be the fault of the acne
products. All those celebrities endorsing Proactiv must be right
- and your skin just must somehow be 'different' or perhaps
'incurable.'

So, the next thing you did was go to a dermatologist. He gave you
a course of antibiotics. According to the dermatologist, acne
treatment is about killing all the bacteria in your body, good
and bad, and thus decrease the incidence of acne occurring.

So, you decided to take the medication and sure enough it worked
- but for only a few months. One morning you woke up to find that
your face was covered in acne and not even an increase in
medication would stop them. The doctor then told you that the
bacteria had developed resistance to the antibiotic and that this
was 'normal.'

Meanwhile, you may have found that during the time you were on
the antibiotics that you suffered from thrush - an itchy vagina,
penis or anus. You couldn't figure out why. But the doctor never
told you it was because of the antibiotics. The antibiotics
killed all the good bacteria, the bacteria that keep parasitic
yeast in check, and the yeast took over and the result was a very
uncomfortable experience of thrush.

So, what did the dermatologist do next? He probably put you on a
course of Accutane. He told you that Accutane stops the
production of oil in your skin and, just like the bacteria he was
trying to kill and ultimately failed, oil is also a reason for
acne. He told you that oil is the enemy. Therefore, the
production of oil must stop.

For six months you take this drug. And for six months you
experience very little acne. But you also experience horrible
side-effects. And when the six months is finally up, you have to
stop taking Accutane because otherwise it will really start to
damage your health.

And bang! The acne returned. And there was nothing more that the
dermatologist could do for you.

But there is more that you can do. You can treat acne. And the
way to treat acne is prevent it from occurring in the first
place.

The way to prevent acne is to eliminate the inflammatory
environment within your body. And the way to do this is to
maintain a strict dietary regime that eliminates any spikes in
your insulin levels and re-balances the ratio of essential fats
in your body.

To learn more about this, you can read my book "The Zafino
Method: The Complete Guide to Acne Free, Perfect Skin." It is an
excellent book for those wishing to treat their acne in a
completely holistic and natural way.
