Thou in thy mercy hast led forth the people which thou hast redeemed: thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation. God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn. But he shall acknowledge the son of the hated for the firstborn, by giving him a double portion of all that he hath: for he is the beginning of his strength; the right of the firstborn is his. Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be. The bows of the mighty men are broken, and they that stumbled are girded with strength. He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail. The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces; out of heaven shall he thunder upon them: the Lord shall judge the ends of the earth; and he shall give strength unto his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed. In his neck remaineth strength, and sorrow is turned into joy before him. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. Now know I that the Lord saveth his anointed; he will hear him from his holy heaven with the saving strength of his right hand. Be thou exalted, Lord, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
