was some kind of joke until I get to the part where they're actually going to
take night time satellite images, so I guess they really are serious about
this!

SUNDAY MARCH 9th, BETWEEN 8:00 PM AND MIDNIGHT Like the overwhelming majority of people around the world, you are for Peace. You are against a war that would be declared for the sake of controlling oil and water resources. Against a war that would cause women, children and civilians to be massacred. Against a war that would establish a precedent as being the first "preventive war", thereafter allowing anyone to attack anyone else, under the pretext that their interests are being threatened. Against a war that has been planned and decided upon in defiance of public opinion, that has been so clearly expressed in the streets of our cities. THE EARTH LIGHTS UP FOR PEACE This war is also a war of images - Let us put out our sign of -- Lights For Peace: Let us create an image that will shame Bush and his oilmen and stop them in their tracks. An image without any special effects, an indisputable image that will be the reflection of our convictions. On Sunday March 9th, between 8:00 pm and midnight your local time, turn on a light as bright as possible. Place it outside your window, on your balcony, in your courtyard or in your garden. This image will be visible from far up in the sky, it will be photographed and filmed by satellites and planes alike, and will be reproduced by the media. It will go down in history as a definitive testimony of our hope for a future that is common to all men and women.
