Chapter 7: Pleasure and Pain

Xander was drawn from his thoughts on Percy by the arrival of Harry. The other man had attracted Xander in a way that no one else ever had. They had spent a great deal of time together. Thanks to Hallie they had learned a number of ancient spells that not even the Ministry knew about and therefore could not proclaim as dark, even though they could be used as such.

Severus had also brewed twelve different potions that Hallie had brought the recipe to. She had become their go between for the Scoobies, between, emails, telephone calls, Hallie, and the letters that he wrote he was keeping in touch with his family, while still helping Harry and the others.

One of the potion recipes that Hallie had given them, she had brought not from Giles, but from the hidden tomb of Salazar Slytherin. Hallie refused to tell them where it was, but she did bring them copies of the potion and a spell. The potion was the most important factor. It was made with three very special ingredients. All of which had to be given willingly, the blood of two wizards, one marked by evil's touch and one that had grown up on a hellmouth. The last ingredient was the blood of a serpent. All of these things had been easily acquired and to the shock of those around them, Xander had found out that he was a parselmouth, like Harry and Voldemort.

Once the recipe was finished Harry and Xander needed to drink it, Hallie said it was a way to defeat Voldemort. That was the potion that the two Potion Masters and the Potion Mistress were working on at the moment.

Xander didn't care about Voldie; he had no doubt that they could defeat him. What Xander cared about was getting Harry. The other man was responsive to his interest, but Xander did not want to start anything when there was a chance that one or both of them would die.

What Xander didn't know was that Dru had taken a hand in his future relationship. She had seen that Xander would not make the first move and she knew that both Xander and Harry had to be bonded in order for the potion and joining spell to work properly. So Dru had gone to Harry and explained things to him. It was one of the reasons that Harry had sought Xander out this night.

"Xander?" Harry called calmly.

Xander looked up at the other man and smiled. "I need to run somewhere; would you be willing to go with me?" Harry asked him with a smile. A smile that Hermione recognized well, what was Harry up to?

"Sure, where are we going? Do we need back up? Should we get Dru?" Xander asked, before taking a breath to ask more questions. Harry sighed and shook his head. Really he was no good at plans. He pulled Xander down to his level and kissed him. Mid kiss Harry apparated them away.

"That boy," Hermione said with a sigh, before turning back to her part of the potion. Severus and Percy shared a look and laughed softly. They had all wondered how long it would be before the two acted on their attraction for one another.

"The Pretty Light didn't follow the plan!" Dru said with a pout, but she then giggled. "Kitten is going to lap him all up."

The three gapped at the vampires as she giggled and skipped out of the room. "Here Wolfie wolfie, come ta Mummy," she called as she left.

Hermione laughed again, Dru was quite taken with Remus and Sirius as well. However, Remus was her favorite next only to Harry and Xander. The others found it amusing.
