It will take some time, until .3d files will be imported with LRUD data. Some internal data structures need to be changed first.
But I have added new feature to loch - File->Import. You can open your .3d file in loch as you did it before and then you can import surface in .lox format to existing model. Data sets should be merged. Alternatively you can use File->Export function to create .lox file with merged cave and surface data. This feature is available in 5.2.7 snapshot I have just uploaded.
