Nice Martin,

I added a small bit to the wiki
http://therion.speleo.sk/wiki/doku.php/tips#choosing_colour_palettes

I forget, do we have explicit control of map colours yet?

ie an alternative to the pre-defined palette of colours available with;

              colour map-fg map #in layout

In case we don't, some random new feature/syntax ideas.

say something like this in the map definition;

  map MiddleEarthPlanMap  -projection plan \

  -survey MiddleEarth \ # survey option forces map statistics to match the
survey

  -map-fg [54 7 60] # defining the map colour here would mean the map is
always this colour - maybe not so good.

Or something like this in the th-config;

             select MiddleEarthPlanMap  -map-fg [54 7 60] # to act as an
override (too much possible confusion with settings in layouts?)

Or maybe a means of defining a custom palette of colours in a layout that
Therion would use when executing statements like;

           colour map-fg [altitude | scrap | map] # colour of particular
maps could be controlled by order of colours in pallet and order of explicit
select statements
