Thanks a lot. This will be very helpful.
I tried processing it with metapost, but I get an error about a missing TEX
file:


mpost protr.mp
This is MetaPost, version 1.209 (kpathsea version 5.1.0)
(./protr.mp (./protractor2.mp
! I can't find file `TEX'.
l.7 input TEX

Please type another input file name:


Is that "TEX" file some standard one or is it part of your library?

I'm attaching protractor source code in metapost. You can generate
protractors using
mpost protr.mp [1]pdftex protr.tex
You can change configuration in protr.mp
The parameters mean:- scale denominator- length units- angle units- radius
in the given length units- major length marking in the given length units-
density of minor length marking- density of minor angle marking
