We just held a weekend of 'intermediate/advanced' digital surveying, largely about therion usage in the UK.
Expect some questions :-) One thing that came up was export from topodroid. It exports directly into therion .th2 format, which is good, but the exported drawings have a very high point-density on lines. There are hundreds of small straight line-segments in even quite a short survey. A large survey is pretty-much unmanageable in xtherion as it goes so slowly with lots of lines. It is possible to select each line and use 'edit line' -> 'convert to curve' to greatly simplify each line, and after doing this things work much better, but this process is very tedious indeed. What would it take to be able to select 'all lines' and apply this transformation in one go, or, even better, could topodroid do this before export so a much smaller and more useful file is exported? Any other sugestions for making this less painful? Wookey -- Principal hats: Linaro, Debian, Wookware, ARM http://wookware.org/
