I am trying to understand the effect of the anchors and rebelays line options.

I can´t visually see any difference in the outputed map and looking in the code, I can´t find a place where the TT_LINE_TAG_ROPE_ANCHORS and TT_LINE_TAG_ROPE_REBELAYS flags are used. I can only find where they are set.

Can someone explain to me how to use them and how to see their effects?

Try them in elevation (extended or projected), and create a diagonal rope line with at least three linepoints.

Personally, I hate them, because you have no control, and they never seem to end up looking like the actual rigging. They just do rebelay loops in unnatural positions. So for my rigging topos, I use my own rope lines, which just draw basic lines, and I then manually draw rebelays, Y-hangs etc. using Bézier curves. I use point anchor for anchors with my custom anchor code, so I can set the specific kind of anchor symbol.
