Hello peeps... I just got NYE in the mail today and I would like to spread it around some more to people that have high-speed internet access (and then maybe they could do a B+P for a dial up user). Instead of using FTP, I'd like to use a program called Bit-Torrent (BT). BT works like Furthurs supposed to...a lot of people download a show and share it, the more people that have it, the faster it downloads. It's a VERY small program (2.5mb) that you install and all you have to do is click on a link that I will send you. When you click on the link, BT will ask you where you want to save the file and the downloading starts! You don't need to run the program or do any configuration, it just starts. It's really that easy. For more info on BT, check out the links below:
official BT site, get BT here: http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/index.html more informative site: http://smiler.no-ip.org/BT/info.php same site, download page (lots of Dead related stuff): http://smiler.no-ip.org/BT/default.php Now, here's where I need your help. I need two people to download the show from ME with BT so that at least 3 of use are sharing at once (folks with higher upload speeds would be nice, I'm capped at 48kbs) and then I will post the download links here so that everyone can download from us. The more people that download the show and keep BT running, the faster the speeds get (fastest I've seen is almost 300kbs!). So right now all I need are a couple volunteers. I'm in the process of getting everything together so it may be a day or two before we can start things off. This is the first time that I've initiated a BT download so it's also a learning experience and an adventure!! This is truly an efficient and easy way to download music.
