Hey now, folks --

I've been occasionally lurking through the listserv archive for about three years or
more now, but this is my first time joining the group so I thought I'd throw out a
little of who's me. Actually I just posted a private reply on a B&P offer and it
kind of inspired me to sign on.

I'm a 42-yr old daddy/husband/pastor, born & raised in San Francisco and now living
on the front range in Montana, and I've been listening to The Slip since sometime in
1999. I bought Gecko on a lark and instantly fell in love with the groove. As I
just told someone else, our son (now 7) still jumps up to dance whenever he hears
"Eube" start up. I only wish you could see the excited look on his face. I first
saw the guys last summer at The Big Wu Family Reunion in Black River Falls, WI and
had supper with them afterwards. I'm also the audio-archivist for Yonder Mountain
String Band and The Big Wu, so music takes up all my so-called "free-time."

Since I feel like the best way to say hello to a new group is to make an offer,
here's my deal. At the moment all The Slip recordings I have are on DAT (I may do
some transfers now that I've joined up but not yet) so if anyone's interested in
trading or B&P for a clone or two here's what I can offer up:

05.16.98 @ Common Ground/Brattleboro, VT (90m)
02.07.99 @ The Terminal Bar/Minneapolis, MN (90m)
06.30.00 @ Lupo's/Providence, RI (2x60m)
04.04.01 @ The Cabooze/Minneapolis, MN (60m)
04.05.01 @ Club Montmartre/Madison, WI (2x60m)
09.21.00 @ Tractor Tavern/Seattle, WA (90m)

Private off-list replies to <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> That's my story and I'm
sticking with it. Having read over your shoulder for so long I can already say it's
great to finally be with you kind folks.

+ Pastor Tim
