Just confirming that, yes the live electric album completely rocks (as well as the acoustic one, out soon) and everyone should get it now and bump it while they lay on the floor with the lights out, and that also, true, WOW Hall was a massive Slip experience, can't put it in words, at least with the ones I personally know, and there was a Soft Machine there as well...Have I mentioned I love this song?  Also, Ashland was way off the charts.  Sick W/ or W/O You and others....slow slow Fugi, Asland, Song, Dear Milena, Peace, Love and Understanding, on and on, I have no idea.  I was jumping up and down the whole time.  I've been doing that all week actually.  I think Ted's gonna post all the setlists, aren't you Ted?  Maybe they're on the grafitti page now that I think about it.

Great to hear from you too, Moshe!

I picked up Alivelectric at the Goodfoot the other night. The acoustic disc
is still getting finished and will be out in two or three weeks, availabile
in stores together. All I know about the acoustic disc is that it starts
with I Only Want to Be With You/Poor Boy.
Here's the rundown on Alivelectric:
1 The Earth Will Dissever and Consume You After these Messages
2 Introductions>
3 Headshot>
4 Mr. Meowskers
5 Happy Snails
6 Song>
7 Interlude>/ (Mixed segue)
8 If One Of Us Should Fall
9 Built For Zeal
10 Driving Backwards with You
11 Ashland
The Earth... is HOT! Rockin' rhythms and Brad goes to town. Headshot is
another quick one that tears through your ears and explodes into Mr.
Meowskers, and Happy Snails is a really interesting rhythmic tune. Song is
the instrumental that has been called Kurdistan/Acoma/Song of Dubious
Origin. I've only heard it acoustic before, but it RIPS with the full on
electric sound. The jam that "connects" it to If One Of Us Should Fall is
awesome, and some of Andrew's beats sound a little like Aptos, though not
exactly. If One Of Us Should Fall is a wonderful version, brimming with
emotion, though not as hot as the one the other night in Eugene IMO. Built
for Zeal is by far the best version I've heard, though that's not saying a
whole lot as I never really jumped on this song so much. Driving Backwards
is great, and Marc shreds. Ashland must be from NYE as there are horns,
though it fades out after 1:19 before the lyrics.
I'm just sinking my teeth into this disc, so I can't give a very critical
review at this point, but I'm sure we'll get one from Sam or someone else
soon enough. Patience. But definitely buy the disc, and a few extras for
your friends. I think it really captures the live energy and tightness of
BAM much better than Jumby. Much more spontaneous and energetic. They did a
great job selecting tracks, and it's nice to have a standard to name some of
their new songs with.
Peace,
Adam
