Good point about the military hero.  It just took me completely out of his
patriotic speech.  It reminded me of every movie trailer from the 1990's.  I
half expected the "big voice" guy to rise from the grave and say, "In a
world."

Okay, no political views being shared here.  But I gotta ask, what was up
with the music played immediately after John McCain finished his concession
speech?  They played the dramatic "Crimson Tide" piece for the crowd as he
left the stage.  That's the music they use in movie trailers all the time. 

 

It just seemed weird.
