There was a South Park episode about Family Guy and how each episode
is basically just a bunch of random scenes that have nothing to do with each
other. In the episode, you find out that the "writers" of Family Guy are
manatees that pick out these balls called idea balls (they have random words
written on them) from a tank in order to come up with the plot of a show.
