I disagree with your assessment of Graig. He's bringing it back to the original concept and persona of Bond before he was turned into a characture of himself.
This Bond character is more real than any of the others before. And his acting is also much better. He seems to be in the character and not just playing to the audience as the double innuendos of women's name are spoken through the screen.
