If you are a fan of Far Cry do not even bother with Far Cry 2. It really is a far cry from the first game. I bought FC2 over the weekend and I regret it. It's nothing like the first, story wise and playability. As a matter of fact, they might as well had called it something else. First of all, the story is lame. Second, the game play is absolutely horrible compared to the first game. If you were planning on buying this game, do not. You will be disappointed.
