I was also shocked to hear about the Smurf movie during the parade. I guess I'm of the opposite opinion as the others. I think nothing good could come of this. If it's animated, it's just a rehash of the old show. Yawn. If it's live action, dear goodness... I'm envisioning Jim Carrey in blue paint. He'll look worse than Frazier as the Beast!
