Oh God, what have done!

seriously thought, I can understand being weary when something like
that is happens.

actually, from a artistic sense, they're the same art style. It just
that manga are japanese comics read left to right and are collected in
paperback books called tankobon that usually has a collection of 10 to
12 chapter of a series. Imigine if you will, 10 to 12 issues of
Amazing Spiderman collected in a paperback book, usally for a price
around $9.99.

Anime is a style of animation that deploys realism, much like cartoon
is a style of animation. even thought anime and manga originated in
Japan and is mostly made there, anime and manga can be made anywhere
in the world. I talk more about in the first Anime SHAFT episode since
that is the subject of the episode. Actually, did you know that one of
the biggest influences in the creation of manga and anime in the late
50's and early 60's was Walt Disney cartoons and animated features.

As for anime that I would recommend, as I said in another thread,
anything involveing the Gundam franchise, but especially the last
three series, Gundam Wing, Gundam Seed, and Gundam 00 which in fore
mentioned thread is showing on SciFi at 11 P.M. on Monday nights.
Cowboy Bebop is an space western that was an international hit around
2000, along with Outlaw Star which is also can be considered a space
western and both have great story. Full Metal Achemist has a terrific
plot and was the hit anime of 2004. Bio-Booster Armor Guyver is a
classic that I think everyone has to check out. I suggest both the
original 12 episode 1992 series or the new 26 episode 2006 series. In
the family friend section, I would suggest Kaleido Star which is about
a 14 year old girl that is trying to make it in a circus du sol type
circus and has a great story that I believe everyone of any age of
gender can enjoy. For you older perverts, Golden Boy is an perveted
comedy that I garuntee will have you falling of your couch in
laughter. And finally, I suggest the Manga "Magister Magi Negima". It
about a 10-year old magican that become an english teacher in japan at
an all girl middle school as he serches for his father. with 20
volumes out, I have been reading this since the Del Ray introduce it
in the fall of 2004 and I find it the best series out today. It has a
pefect blend of both harem and action/adventure elements from it
writer Ken Akamatsu. I'm suggesting the manga becuase I find that that
first anime series which came out didn't do it justice.

You can find any of these anime on Netflix and most library have a
decent collection of manga. You should alway try to explore and find
what you like.
