Yeah, I need to post a blog over at Technical Difficulties.
Well, the Dell Mini install was shockingly and surprising flawless.
I've even been surprised at how well it has performed. So far, no
performance issues in using applications and browsing the internet.
My Dell XPS machine, at first, was a little different. It took some
minor researching in trying to find device drivers for some of my
devices. But, overall, Windows 7 has seemed like a faster version of
Vista. One thing that I have been really annoyed with is the new
version of Windows Movie Maker. I actually used it a few times in
Vista and loved it (huge leap from XP's version) but the new version
with Windows 7 is not as good and a lot more confusing. You can't see
a timeline view of the videos you want to edit and piece together. I
have already submitted feedback to Microsoft about this.
