It will take a while but once Netflix gets all their titles on the stream is when I will finally get rid of my DVD player and 250+ DVD collection.
http://www.engadget.com/2009/01/28/netflix-sees-subscribers-opting-for-streaming-over-mailing-glob/ Something interesting about this article needs to be pointed out: The replacement of physical media all around. This is one of the few reasons why I am holding out on buying Blu-Ray disk and player. I believe in the next 5 to 10 years online media will mostly be replacing physical media for music and movies. Everything will be available online for us to download or stream. Of course, a lot of this depends on either the government or all ISP companies finally providing some form of broadband for every household in the U.S, and faster pipes for the ones that already have it. Luckily, Brighthouse of Central Florida is giving me 20MB down and 1.5 up. I'm not complaining but I sure would like to have Verizon's fiber to my house so that I can have faster up. E <thought>I just realize I should probably be posting this to Technical Difficulties site.</thought> --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Unique Geek" group.
