The only problem with a NoES remake is finding someone to fill the shoes
created by Robert England. If they could find an actor to do that it would
work. At one point I heard rumors of maybe Michael Rosenbaum playing the
character, which might work. He has the chops for the darker aspects of the
character in addition to the very twisted sense of humor that was
established when the films were still good.

Then again what the hell do I know? I actually like NoES 2.

What I would really like to see, and they tried to do this in 6, in the
comics and on the series, is that if the NoES remake is successful they do
like they did with TCM and do a prequel detailing how Freddy ended up
getting torched by the parents of Springwood. If done right it could be a
good mix of horror and suspense.
