Ten years ago Famke Janssen would have made a great Black Widow.  Sexy, thin, angular, can play Russian, and you'd believe she could beat the crap out of you.  Watch "GoldenEye" or "I Spy" if you don't believe it.

I concurr.  BW is supposed to be the most hardcorp non-powered female in the Marvel universe.  Sure, Elektra's got ninja skills, but with BW's ex-KGB skills, she'll skip the shurikens and just shoot someone in the head . . . with gun . . . from 600 yards.
 
While Elektra goes toe-to-toe with Daredevil, BW uses DD as a warmup for Captain America.
 
BW shouldn't be 'soft' hot, she should be 'I might stab you in the throat' scary kind of hot.

Her features aren't angular enough. Black Widow should look less
