Yeah, they have to be approved before they are listed on the iTunes
store- some apps have been pulled after posting, though (like one that
allowed tethering to a laptop). After checking the settings of the
program it provides Skype chat access, as well as MSN, ICQ, SIP,
Google Talk, Twitter, Yahoo chat, and AIM. I don't think the VOIP is
tied to Skype, but the app does tie into both your chat buddies and
your contact list on your phone, so calling from VOIP is pretty
straightforward. As I said, I only used the VOIP once (there's a test
call function) but it seemed to work fine (but will only work if you
have WiFi access; won't work via the 3G connection). This app has been
consistently mentioned as one of the best apps on the iTunes store;
give it a try...
