If any of you have ever had an interest in ham radio this weekend is the 
chance to get a feel for it.  Field Day is an annual event where hams set up 
improvised stations and practice emergency communications.  It's also a chance 
for people unfamiliar with ham radio to learn about it and get on the radios.  
At our event we'll have 8 stations set up ranging from traditional shortwave 
bands up to modern digital communications and even a station communicating 
through ham satellites.  The astronauts on the space station are even planning 
to get on their radios and join inthis afternoon.  It lasts for a full 24 hours 
and events close to you can be found at
