Interestingly Barnes and Noble just announced an alternative: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/ebooks/index.asp
Get any ebook and put it on any computer/electronic device you want using their provided e-reader. They are also claiming more titles available then Amazon. Although having to download a special e-reader to read the material may be just as annoying as getting a Kindle. It may have the same issues as mentioned in the article. Must read the fine print. -Sterling On Jul 21, 12:40 pm, "Holly Elliott" <[email protected]> wrote: > I was just going to email this link to Ron at first, but then I realized > others here may think this is interesting/scary: > > http://www.slate.com/id/2223214?wpisrc=newsletter > > Holly --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Unique Geek" group.
