Yeah I loved the original too, corny as it may be to some. This new version LOOKS cool, but I'm worried that some of the original charm has been lost in translation....I like that they kept the gods looking old-school (Zeus with white robes and big billowy white hair, played by Liam, whose accent should help in keeping with the old movie) but didn't like the modern style lines spoken in the trailer (by, I assume, the actor playing the Burgess Meredeth part; "... GONNA have to take a stand!"...I much prefer the more Shakespearian style delivery the actors used in the original. That dude playing Draco (I'm assuming? The warrior guy with a sword in MANY of the scenes of the trailer... MORE than the long-haired Perseus) looks like a cross between Brad Pitt in Troy and Jason Statham, with the buzzcut and grimacing, looks like he stepped out of a modern war pic and then just dressed up in old greek armor. Still looks like an ok film...just...different.
