Um, DUDE THIS SONG IS THE DEFINITION OF FADED INTO OBSCURITY. The beauty is
that these nostalgic bits creep back up from time to time and make us think
they are/were so much better than they ever truly were. I point now to other
items that we remember fondly...
CHiPs (how many times can Eric Estrada make a comeback on a motorcycle)
The Land of the Lost TV show ( i suppose making a terrible movie is tribute)
"Just a Friend" by Biz Markie (in a recent Heineken commercial)
Firefly (Nathon Fillion dressed up as a 'space cowboy' {read Mal's costume}
in a Halloween episode of Castle)
NES Mario games (how often in the 'current' Mario world/galaxy/universe
games do you get an old 32 or 64 bit chance to replay the old games)
"Ice Ice Baby" by Vanilla Ice & The entire Journey Catalogue (Vanilla or
Robbie, or Rob or whatever he goes by this week and Steve Perry and the boys
thank you Glee)
There are countless others out there...but seriously, "The Touch" has indeed
faded away into obscurity.
